Steamed Edamame with Sea Salt
A big bowl of steamed edamame pods finished with flaky sea salt and a touch of chili oil — the izakaya snack that happens to be a complete plant protein. Low-carb, high-volume, and 16g protein for 180 calories, it's one of the smartest fat-loss snacks that exists.
Ingredients
- 1.5 cups edamame in pods
- 1/2 tsp flaky sea salt
- 1/2 tsp chili oil (optional)
- 1/4 lemon
Instructions
- Steam or boil the edamame pods for 4-5 minutes.
- Drain well and tip into a bowl.
- Toss with sea salt, chili oil, and a squeeze of lemon.
- Eat by popping the beans straight from the pods.
