Whey Oats Kheer
Rolled oats simmered kheer-style in low-fat milk with saffron and raisins, with a scoop of kesar-pista whey whisked in once it cools slightly. Carb-heavy and 36g protein strong, it's built for post-workout refuelling or a muscle-gain evening rather than a light snack.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 1.5 cups low-fat milk
- 1 scoop kesar-pista or vanilla whey
- 1 tbsp raisins
- 1/4 tsp cardamom powder
- A pinch of saffron
Instructions
- Simmer the oats in milk with saffron and cardamom until creamy.
- Stir in the raisins and take it off the heat.
- Cool 2 minutes so the whey doesn't clump.
- Whisk in the protein powder until silky and serve warm or chilled.
