Thai Basil Chicken with Jasmine Rice
Minced chicken flash-fried with garlic, chilies, and a handful of Thai basil, spooned over jasmine rice — pad krapow with the oil dialled back. Its balanced, calorie-dense profile suits a muscle-gain lunch or a hard-training day more than a high-volume cut.
Ingredients
- 160g minced chicken
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 red chilies, sliced
- 1 cup Thai basil leaves
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 2 tsp soy sauce
- 2/3 cup jasmine rice, steamed
- 2 tsp oil
Instructions
- Fry the garlic and chilies in oil until fragrant.
- Add the minced chicken and break it up over high heat.
- Season with oyster and soy sauces.
- Turn off the heat and wilt in the basil.
- Serve over the jasmine rice.
