Kahunas is a capable platform, and plenty of coaches are happy on it. But its plans are fenced by client count and by feature tier, and that is usually what sends coaches looking at other options. Essentials is $35/month for up to 25 clients. Growth is $69/month for up to 50 clients and is where lead generation forms and automations begin. Ultimate is $99/month for unlimited clients and is the only tier with your own branded apps and the option to add team members. Booking works differently from a typical scheduler: a client requests a call through their calendar and you approve or decline it.
None of that is a flaw if it matches how you work. If it does not, the alternatives below make different trade-offs. Prices checked on September 27, 2026. Feature claims re-checked on October 9, 2026.

1. UltraFit360 — Best for coaches who want leads, booking and check-ins together
Strengths: The lead page has a qualifying enquiry form (goal, activity level, contact preference) and a New/Contacted/Converted/Archived pipeline with one-click lead-to-client conversion. A coach booking page lets prospects book an intro call, a program builder comes with an exercise library and templates, and the check-in questionnaire builder offers nine answer types feeding a single review inbox. Team invites and a shared client pool are part of the same coach platform.
Limits: There's no client payments or billing feature, so you'd still need a separate tool to invoice or charge clients directly. Chat is one-to-one, is not instant and doesn't support attachments. There's no custom-branded client app; clients use the shared UltraFit360 app.
Pricing: see the early bird offer at the end of this page, or the coach platform at /coaches for full details.
2. Trainerize — Best for coaches who want appointments, classes and a large exercise library
Strengths: Trainerize lists appointments and classes with client self-booking, describes its library as "3,000+ vetted movements", and connects to Garmin, Withings, Fitbit, MyFitnessPal, YouTube and Zapier. The Grow plan adds meal and macro tracking, an AI Workout Builder and a Trainerize.me profile.
Limits: Payments are a Stripe Payments add-on at $10/month, and a custom-branded app is a $169 one-time add-on on the Pro tier. Shareable booking links are part of the Business add-on. Advanced Nutrition (smart meal planner, 2,400+ recipes) is a further add-on at $20–$45/month. Basic covers a single coaching client.
Pricing summary: Basic is $0/month for 1 coaching client and Grow is $9/month for 2. Pro runs from $23/month (5 clients) to $135/month (50 clients), and Studio Plus starts at $248/month for 500 clients. Learn more at trainerize.com.
3. Everfit — Best for coaches who want booking and forms inside one plan
Strengths: Everfit's Pro plan lists Booking & Scheduling, Forms & Questionnaires, Habit Coaching, food journal and macro tracking, custom branding and team member management. The Starter tier at $0/month covers up to 5 clients with a custom exercise library and workout builder, which makes it a low-risk place to test the interface.
Limits: Pro pricing scales with client count, and several things sit outside it as add-ons: Payments & Packages ($8–$9/month), Meal Plans & Recipe Books ($33–$39/month), Autoflow automation ($24–$29/month+) and On-Demand Collections ($21–$25/month). No enquiry form is listed; the Payments & Packages add-on gives each package a sales page instead. Named wearables are not listed on the pricing page.
Pricing summary: Starter is $0/month for up to 5 clients. Pro is $16–$255/month billed annually, or $19–$290/month billed monthly, as the roster grows from 5 to 300+ clients. Learn more at everfit.io.
4. TrueCoach — Best for coaches who want payments included and a big video library
Strengths: Automated payments through Stripe are included on every plan, and so is the 3,000+ video exercise library. Standard adds public coach profiles where prospects can apply, wearable integrations (Apple, Garmin, WHOOP, OURA), a custom-branded app and Zapier automations. Team Accounts let you add coaches at no additional cost.
Limits: Plans are capped by active clients: 5 on Starter, 20 on Standard and 50 on Pro, with custom pricing above 250 clients. No booking or scheduling tool is listed on its features or pricing pages. There is no dedicated form builder; its help center says waivers, questionnaires and check-ins are built inside the workout builder.
Pricing summary: Starter is $26.34/month, Standard $57.99/month and Pro $136.99/month. Learn more at truecoach.co.
5. My PT Hub — Best for coaches who run group classes alongside one-to-one work
Strengths: Starter includes 1-to-1 bookings and payment processing, and Premium adds group bookings, classes and live streams, an AI workout builder, automated client check-ins and scheduled messaging. Ultimate includes five additional trainers and a custom-branded app.
Limits: Prices are shown in euros on its pricing page. Below Ultimate, a custom-branded app is a €95 one-time add-on and extra trainers are €10 per trainer per month. No lead form is listed on its features page, though it lists custom forms, waivers and Zapier. Starter covers 3 clients. We did not re-fetch My PT Hub pricing on October 9, so treat those figures as last verified on September 27.
Pricing summary: €25/month Starter (€22.50/month billed annually), €59/month Premium with unlimited clients, and €215/month Ultimate, as displayed on their site. It also advertises a 30-day free trial. Learn more at mypthub.net.
6. PT Distinction — Best for coaches who want AI tools and automation from the entry plan
Strengths: Even the Basic plan lists an AI program builder, an AI meal planner, an AI assistant, scheduled email and SMS, automated workflows, habit tracking and payment processing for packages. Its pricing page says you can add as many trainers as you wish for free.
Limits: Basic includes only 3 clients, with extra clients billed per head, and a custom-branded app is limited to Pro and Master. Lead capture and appointment booking are not listed on its features or pricing pages, and specific third-party integrations are not named.
Pricing summary: Basic is $19.90/month with 3 clients included and $6.00/month per extra client. Pro is $59.90/month (25 clients, $2.40/month per extra client) and Master is $89.90/month (50 clients, $1.60/month per extra client). A 1-month trial is offered. Learn more at ptdistinction.com.
How to choose
Start from the reason you are leaving Kahunas, because each reason points somewhere different.
- You are hitting the client cap: compare cost at your target roster, not the entry price. Trainerize and Everfit scale with client count, My PT Hub's Premium plan is unlimited, and TrueCoach's listed plans stop at 50 active clients; custom pricing is mentioned above 250, and what applies in between is not shown.
- You want your own branded app without the top tier: Everfit offers custom branding from Pro, TrueCoach from Standard, PT Distinction from Pro, and Trainerize and My PT Hub sell it as a one-time add-on. UltraFit360 does not offer one.
- You need self-service appointment booking: Trainerize, Everfit and My PT Hub list it. TrueCoach and PT Distinction do not.
- You want leads, booking and check-ins in one place: UltraFit360 puts all three in the coach platform, but without client payments.
Frequently asked questions
Why do coaches look for Kahunas alternatives?
From what Kahunas publishes, the usual friction points are structural: Essentials is capped at 25 clients and Growth at 50, a custom-branded app and team members are on the Ultimate tier only, and booking is a call request that the coach approves or declines. If those fit how you work, there may be no reason to move.
Does Kahunas have appointment booking?
Kahunas lets clients request a call through the client calendar, and the coach approves or declines it. That is not the same as open self-booking against your availability. Trainerize, Everfit and My PT Hub list booking tools; TrueCoach and PT Distinction do not list one.
Which Kahunas alternatives offer a custom-branded app?
Trainerize sells one as a $169 one-time add-on on the Pro tier. Everfit includes custom branding from Pro, with full white label on Enterprise. TrueCoach includes it on Standard and Pro, My PT Hub on Ultimate (or as a €95 one-time add-on), and PT Distinction on Pro and Master. UltraFit360 does not have a custom-branded app.
Can I trial these platforms before switching?
Kahunas offers a 14-day free trial, My PT Hub a 30-day free trial and PT Distinction a 1-month trial. Everfit has a Starter tier at $0/month for up to 5 clients, and Trainerize has a Basic plan at $0/month for 1 coaching client. UltraFit360's current terms are in the early bird offer below.
Can I move my clients' history off Kahunas?
We did not research what each vendor does with client data when coaching ends, so ask them before you commit. Ask Kahunas support and any platform you are evaluating exactly what carries over before you commit.
