TrueCoach Alternatives: 6 Coaching Apps Compared

TrueCoach has a loyal following for a reason: automated Stripe payments on every plan, a 3,000+ video exercise library from the first tier and a clean client dashboard. The things coaches tend to look elsewhere for are narrower. Its pricing pages and help center show that plans are capped by active clients (5, 20 and 50, with custom pricing above 250), that no booking or scheduling tool is listed, and that there is no dedicated form builder, because waivers, questionnaires, assessments and check-ins are built inside the workout builder.

If you run a handful of clients and mostly need to deliver training and collect payment, you may not feel any of that. If you want intake forms, appointment booking or a bigger roster under one plan, the options below are worth a look. Prices checked on September 27, 2026. 1. UltraFit360 — Best for coaches who want a dedicated check-in workflow

Strengths: The check-in questionnaire builder has nine answer types, with scheduled or on-demand check-ins and a single inbox for answers, progress photos, weight, body fat, sleep and steps. You can reply with a private note or send feedback to the client's messages. Around that sit a lead page and pipeline, a booking page for intro calls, a program builder with an exercise library and demo animations, and an AI Meal Planner. Coaches can be invited by email or invite code, with a shared client pool.

Limits: There's no client payments or billing feature, so you'd still need a separate tool to invoice or charge clients directly. Chat is one-to-one, is not instant and doesn't support attachments. There's no custom-branded client app; clients use the shared UltraFit360 app. TrueCoach includes automated Stripe payments on every plan, which is the clearest gap on our side.

2. Trainerize — Best for coaches who want appointments, classes and many integrations

Strengths: Trainerize lists appointments and classes with client self-booking, a Trainerize.me profile from the Grow plan, and integrations with Garmin, Withings, Fitbit, MyFitnessPal, YouTube and Zapier. Its library is described as "3,000+ vetted movements", and Pro adds consultation forms, challenges and leaderboards.

Limits: Payments need the Stripe Payments add-on at $10/month, and a custom-branded app is a $169 one-time add-on on the Pro tier. Shareable booking links belong to the Business add-on. Basic covers one coaching client and Grow covers two.

3. Everfit — Best for coaches who want forms and booking without a separate tool

Strengths: Pro lists Forms & Questionnaires, Booking & Scheduling, Habit Coaching, food journal and macro tracking, basic meal plans and team member management, along with custom branding. Starter at $0/month covers up to 5 clients, and the library has 1000+ exercises.

Limits: Autoflow automation ($24–$29/month+), Payments & Packages ($8–$9/month), On-Demand Collections ($21–$25/month) and Meal Plans & Recipe Books ($33–$39/month) are all separate. No enquiry form is listed; the Payments & Packages add-on gives each package a sales page. Named wearables are not listed on the pricing page.

Strengths: Calendar bookings cover sessions and classes, and Premium adds group bookings, live streams, automated client check-ins, program compliance tracking and scheduled messaging. Payment processing is included from Starter.

Limits: Pricing is shown in euros, Starter covers just 3 clients, and a custom-branded app below Ultimate is a €95 one-time add-on. Additional trainers cost €10 per trainer per month outside Ultimate. No lead form is listed. We did not re-fetch its pricing on October 9, so those figures were last verified on September 27.

5. Kahunas — Best for coaches who want check-in forms and lead forms on one platform

Strengths: Custom check-in forms are on every plan, and lead generation forms arrive on Growth. All plans include unlimited nutrition plans backed by a 1.6M verified food database and 1,000+ exercise videos. The site says it does not charge your clients directly or take commission on Stripe or PayPal payments.

Limits: Essentials covers up to 25 clients and Growth up to 50. The custom-branded app and team members are limited to Ultimate. Booking is a client call request that the coach approves or declines.

6. PT Distinction — Best for coaches who want AI tools, automation and payments at a low entry price

Strengths: Basic lists an AI program builder, AI meal planner, AI assistant, client assessments, scheduled email and SMS, automated workflows and payment processing for packages. The pricing page says you can add as many trainers as you wish for free.

Limits: Basic includes 3 clients, then charges per extra client. A custom-branded app is on Pro and Master only. Appointment booking and lead capture are not listed on the features or pricing pages, and integrations are described only generically.

How to choose

Because TrueCoach is strong on delivery and payments, the question is usually what you are adding rather than what you are replacing.

1. Do you need payments inside the same plan? My PT Hub and PT Distinction both list payment processing on their entry plans. Trainerize and Everfit sell it as an add-on. UltraFit360 has none, so keep a separate billing tool if you choose it.
2. Do you need a dedicated form builder? Everfit, Kahunas, My PT Hub and UltraFit360 each have a form or questionnaire feature of their own, rather than building check-ins inside the workout builder.
3. Do clients need to book you? Trainerize, Everfit and My PT Hub list booking. UltraFit360's booking page is for prospects booking an intro call, not for scheduling client sessions.
4. How many clients will you carry? TrueCoach's listed plans stop at 50 active clients; custom pricing is mentioned above 250, and what applies in between is not shown, so compare the same roster size everywhere.

If you switch, move one or two clients first and keep your TrueCoach account open until the new setup has run through a full week of check-ins.
