๐ก Quick Answer
Yes: WHOOP syncs with Apple Health on iPhone and Health Connect on Android, and both connections are two-way, but WHOOP does not export HRV to Apple Health.
- Turn it on: iPhone: WHOOP โ More โ App Settings โ Integrations โ Apple Health. Android: More โ Account & Settings โ Integrations โ Health Connect.
- Syncs out: workouts, sleep, resting heart rate, respiratory rate, SpO2, calories and steps.
- Does not sync out: HRV, and WHOOP's Recovery and Strain scores are not on its export lists.
- Syncs in: workouts, distance, weight and height from other apps and devices.
WHOOP publishes one support page per platform, and the two export lists differ. For a side-by-side with another wearable, see WHOOP vs Oura Ring.

How to Connect WHOOP to Apple Health
As of October 2026, WHOOP documents these steps for iPhone.
- Update the WHOOP app in the App Store if an update is shown.
- Open the WHOOP app, then go to the More menu.
- Scroll down and select App Settings.
- Tap Integrations.
- Select Apple Health at the top of the page.
- Tap Connect and follow the prompts.
- Choose Turn on all or select specific data categories.
- Tap Allow to confirm.
To change what WHOOP shares later, open the Health app, tap your profile icon in the top right corner, select Apps, choose WHOOP and switch categories on or off. Reinstalling WHOOP means re-enabling the integration.
How to Connect WHOOP to Health Connect
Health Connect is built into Android 14 and later; on Android 13 and lower it is a separate app from the Play Store. WHOOP's page does not state a minimum Android version. WHOOP documents these steps:
- Update the WHOOP app on Google Play.
- Open the WHOOP app and go to the More tab in the bottom-right corner.
- Within Account & Settings, select Integrations.
- Choose Health Connect โ Set Up, and grant permissions for the data categories to share.
WHOOP says the integration is available to all members, but some categories depend on the membership: WHOOP One covers Sleep, Strain, Recovery and body metrics, and WHOOP Peak adds Health Monitor data, including Resting Heart Rate and Respiratory Rate. Android removes permissions when an app is uninstalled, so a reinstall needs the integration enabled again.
Does WHOOP Read Data From Apple Health or Health Connect?
Yes. WHOOP imports activity and body data to refine its analytics.
- From Apple Health: workouts, workout routes, active energy, distance, mindful minutes, weight and height, plus heart rate for activities. Nutrition and menstrual cycle data can also be logged automatically.
- From Health Connect: exercise, distance, calories, weight, height, body fat and lean body mass.
Activities recorded on smartwatches, bike computers or other fitness apps can be imported from Health Connect, and WHOOP layers in its heart rate data. An imported Apple Health activity that overlaps a WHOOP auto-detected one overwrites it, including time bounds and activity type. Imported activities can be edited for up to 30 days. Health Connect data does not override Strain Targets set manually.
What Stays Inside the WHOOP App
WHOOP's own scores are not on its export lists. For Health Connect, WHOOP says VO2 Max, WHOOP Age and Pace of Aging use proprietary algorithms and are only available in the WHOOP app. Heart Screener and Blood Pressure Insights, part of WHOOP Life (MG), remain exclusive to the app due to regulatory requirements, and WHOOP MG does not currently export ECG or Blood Pressure Insights to Apple Health.
HRV is the most searched gap. WHOOP states it does not export HRV to Apple Health at this time, and explains that Apple Health uses SDNN while WHOOP calculates RMSSD. HRV does not appear in WHOOP's Health Connect export list either. The HRV monitoring guide explains the measurements, and the sleep tracker comparison shows how other devices handle them.
Why Your Numbers Don't Match
- Calories differ. WHOOP prioritizes heart-rate-based calorie estimates, which can differ from step-based calculations in other apps.
- Duplicate workouts. If WHOOP and another app or device both write workouts to Apple Health, duplicates can appear, especially when import and export are both on. Turning off "Workouts" export in Apple Health settings helps prevent it.
- Source priority. Apple Health ranks sources: manual entries first, then iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch, then apps. Change it under Browse โ a category โ Data Sources & Access โ Edit. On Android, go to Health Connect โ Data & Access โ Manage Priorities, as WHOOP documents, or Manage Data โ Data sources and priority in Google's help.
- Missing imports. Check that read permission for WHOOP is on in Apple Health, and refresh WHOOP. Some Health Connect apps need to be opened after an activity.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does WHOOP sync with Apple Health?
Yes. WHOOP exports workouts, active energy, heart rate, sleep, resting heart rate, respiratory rate and blood oxygen to Apple Health, plus steps if enabled in WHOOP settings. It also imports workouts, routes, active energy, distance, mindful minutes, weight and height. To connect, open WHOOP, go to More, App Settings, Integrations, then Apple Health.
Does WHOOP export HRV to Apple Health?
No. WHOOP states it does not export HRV data to Apple Health at this time. Apple Health uses SDNN for HRV, while WHOOP calculates RMSSD. HRV is also not on WHOOP's list of data exported to Health Connect.
How do I connect WHOOP to Health Connect?
Update the WHOOP app, open the More tab, go to Account & Settings, then Integrations, choose Health Connect, tap Set Up and grant permission for the data categories to share. Health Connect is built into Android 14 and later and is a separate app on older versions.
Why do I see duplicate WHOOP workouts in Apple Health?
Duplicates can appear when WHOOP and another app or device both write workouts to Apple Health, and enabling both import and export for WHOOP makes it more likely. WHOOP suggests turning off Workouts export in Apple Health settings to help prevent it.
Does WHOOP read data from Health Connect?
Yes. WHOOP imports exercise, distance, calories, weight, height, body fat and lean body mass from Health Connect. An activity recorded in a connected app such as Strava is imported automatically, with WHOOP heart rate data layered in.
Using WHOOP Data in UltraFit360
UltraFit360 reads from Apple Health and Health Connect, so what WHOOP writes there becomes available to it once you grant permission. From WHOOP's lists, that means workouts, calories, sleep, resting heart rate, respiratory rate and SpO2, plus steps where enabled.
WHOOP does not export HRV to Apple Health, so UltraFit360 will not receive it from WHOOP through that route. UltraFit360 has no direct WHOOP integration. See the AI fitness tracker page for how synced data is used, or browse the features.
